Born in Hertfordshire, I moved to West Yorkshire in the sixties, where I had three children and graduated from Leeds University. I went on to be a nurse, and later a medical book indexer. I am a student on the MA Creative Writing course at Manchester Metropolitan University. I now live in Huddersfield with my poet husband, John Bosley, and a cat called Dora.
I am currently working on a collection of poems about the Suffragettes; and a biography of Mary Sophia Allen, one of the first British policewomen.
